Born in Sg, survived seven years of IJ, escaped to canada for the miraculous rebirth.. likes to say she found self there, But well when can we reach self actualization? now a waterloo student. 110% horse mad, was practically born on the back of a horse ( or rather wishes she was) horses are my favourite thing.

Had an excellent ride with Songks the other day. That is the thing about him, he can good one week and horrible the next ( he tends to be horrible when the weather is less than perfect ) He was really listening to my leg and so responsive. I just ,wish i could train him to get rounded, though he does dip his head a bit now, he didn;t last time.Maybe cos i did lots of flexing work with him when i leased him. Anyway, lets not get into leasing, there is another story there.

Becky took us for the lesson, she is not a bad teacher i think. We practiced getting the horses to move off our leg without using the contact. Me and songks were in put in front of the ride and he didnt resist. I managed to turn him across the school without using the reins and manage to do a circle without the contact as wel ! Quite proud of the both of us!

we then practiced squares and attempting right angle turns. Wasn't exactly sure if i did them correctly, i just have to stop that bad habit of mine of bringing my hand across his neck. He was lovely to canter, one thing, his canter transitions are really smooth and marvelous. If he could just get on the bit easier he would be just a really really wonderful ride !
