Went to Sentosa today with vanessa and pei ying!
It has changed soooo much, i could hardly recognise it anymore, it holds so many memories for me but sadly all the places that i remember are gone, Sentosa riding centre where i spent every saturday morning for almost 2 years of my life is gone where i first learned how to ride a horse..... the place is gone..... now nearly half of sentosa is under construction We took the monorail from vivocity to sentosa, we decided to visit underwater world first, it was quite cool and almost the same as i remember it from when i was a kid........ but i didn't dare but my hand in the touch pool to feel a reef shark or puffer fish or star fish...... yep definetley not one to study marine biology, We went under the tunnel 2x, it was pretty amazing really watching the marine life swim overhead. But i LOVE duogong,s they are such beautiful creatures.... After this we decided to head to dolphin lagoon to see the pink dolphins, we werre luckily just is time as the next dolphin show was at 1.30 which we promptly arrived at. I guess it was quite cool to see south-east asian dolphins as i have been to australia and have watched many a marine show where bottlenosed dolphins are featured. The dolphins performed sets of tricks, not unlike dogs , but i guess dolphins are quite smart so they would enjoy being mentally stimulated to learn these tricks but it seemed a little tacky and contrived, maybe it's cos i've watched too many of thse kinds of shows. But it was quite fun anyway. Go pink dolphins After that we walked to palawan beach which was right next door ( my favourite beach) also holds a lot of memories...... it was unfortunately drizzling but we still walked around the beach, dipping our feet in the water which i that goodness wasn't icy cold like the water surroudning centre island, now THAT is fucking cold man. Took loads of photos ( coming later!) the rain got heavier so we went to seek shelter under a nearby awning for about 10 mins to wait for the rain to stop. When it did we immediatley set out to the southern most tip of the asian continent, it wasn't much so vanessa suggested we go on the luge. Ended up wasting lots of time trying to find the place, kept getting off at the wrong stops until we finally found the correct place 1/2 an hour later. Pei ying said she was scared she wouldnt be able to operate the luge properly but she did manage to!! we took a chairlift, not unlike the ones you would take to go skiing up to the top of the hill. I was so afraid i was going to lose my slippers! The luge ride down was UBER fun!!!!!!!!1 pei ying was surprisingly good! she even overtook me and vanessa several times!!! i'll be scared to see what kind of driver she will be lol! After the luge we decided it was time to head back to mainland singapore ( vivocity) so we did, hung out at starbucks for a while before taking the mrt back to the various stops we had to alight at. |
