Born in Sg, survived seven years of IJ, escaped to canada for the miraculous rebirth.. likes to say she found self there, But well when can we reach self actualization? now a waterloo student. 110% horse mad, was practically born on the back of a horse ( or rather wishes she was) horses are my favourite thing.

Raggle taggle gypsy

Two more weeks left.......
Time is passing quickly, but mostly i have enjoyed it.. Working with horses all the time, i do ENJOY it.
Today- Worked on feeds in the morning, then went on to help out clean the HUGE barn mats which were stinking up the barn which had become wet and mucky not due to the rain but due to the water from the hay wheelbarrow, oh and did i mention horse pee, plenty of it since a lot of the mares are now in heat/ season and peeing everywhere and ALL the time

The gypsy vanner pie ( the thicker of the two) was practically flirting openly to gjest the resident stallion who feigned interest ( he's married to holly who teases him endlessly by peeing, filling the air with pee odour and driving gjest insane and then resting her chin on the wall while he stretches his neck out as far as he can to try to sniff her... so close yet so far..... )

Then went on to fill up the barn with shavings, after which relaxed with melanie and louisa in the feedroom for a bit. Went to the old barn to check on hay and water for orion and willa who were in there, they both got more hay. Bob took willa out to work with her. We didn't go up to the house for lunch today... due to the farrier coming, he was said to arrive at 12 but his 12 means after 12.30. But he is by no means a BAD farrier, if anything he probably extremely passionate about hoofcare and hooves. The gypsy and lexie ( lexie is the bob's big beautiful percheron mare) had terrible feet which traumatised the farrier. He's big on people taking good care of horse's feet.

Alex and Margret bought lunch and we sat outside the barn munching our burgers in the sunshine.

It was baking hot... so hot i didn't even feel like riding.. but i knew i had to, so i grabbed skye to ride her, had to practice for the show. I ended up having a hard time fitting the damn thing on her... will try quasar's on her... Finally got it and went into the ring to practice with song, as i was doing it, bob and carole got back and watched, apparently it looked fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!

Well i hope it was...... she's good to ride, easy to get on the bit, just needs some pushing...
